Better crossfader
I'd like if the crossfader in Winamp 3 was more like the SQRSoft Crossfading Output Plugin for Winamp 2x. It analyses the two file to decide the best point to crossfade.
Instead of just "crossfade x seconds from the end". |
If you use DirectSound Output, the crossfading is flawless. Just let Peter update the pluz soon enough.
|
still not as good as ACF was......that's one of the reasons I stick with WA2......
|
Give it time, my freind. :D
|
Yeah I agree that realy annoys me. You'll be listening to a great song then just all of the sudden another song starts. winamp 2 crossfading is flawless.

I really don't believe they are that different.. If you check configurification registry, you can make all sorts of changes to the crossfader... -Plague |
well you still get what I'm sayin right.
|
not really.
I don't see the problem, as you can change the settings for the crossfader just as much in wa3 as in wa2, maybe even more.. -Plague |
But Winamp3 still just cutts off on a song, not like winamp2 which KNOWS when to go to the next song. Winamp3 just has a preset time which sucks.
|
winamp2 also has a preset time, unless you're talking about a 3rd party crossfader..
What I tried to explain was that Peter's crossfader in Wa2 and Wa3 are almost identical (or so I think)... -Plague |
SO you think................;)
|
well, you could always ask Peter if you have any doubts about this..
-Plague |
Oh I do have doubts,...........is it just me or it this whole conversation between you and me?
|
seems like it... ;) :hang:

Dunno what ur talking about. I usually have the regular winamp 3 built in wavout crossfader set to 3 sec and it's not really faded but that's not what i want. If i set it to like 6 seconds the songs blend perfectly. I mean, what more do you want???? :D :D :winamp:
