I am not going to post this in the Bitchlist, as it is not a bitch as such, but here goes.

You are a small company with only a handful of staff, yet the product that you have created is world famous, popular, and even has a book. Your team works for years to perfect this creation, and then begins to rework it, hoping to make is fresh, exciting and new for its loyal followers and fans who are the people the company care about the most. Now, imagine that you release this new product, its taken time, its been delayed, but you have finally done it, but when you surf onto your products website, and into the forums, all you can see are miles and miles of rants, complaints and anti your company threads. HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?

So allow me to be one of the first to make this thread a:

WELL DONE NULLSOFT. WE LOVE YOU GUYS

Growing pains, nothing more. Winamp3 will reach a point where it will be so irresistably tasty that they'll all forget Winamp 2 ever existed... just like poor Winamp 1 :(

Dito, sure ti has teathing troubles, I bet Winamp 2 did. I think "were not up grading yet, its buggy!" was cast around during the first weeks of Winamp 2.

It'll just take a few weeks to iron out the bugs (which I myself dont see meny of, just a bit slow on a 633 thats all(and the cross fader dint work at first so I reduced it to 1 second))

Yeah. I really don't know what people are bitchin about either. IT'S A FREE PROGRAM! ... and besides that.. IT RULEZ! Show me another program that is as good as winamp (and free)!? Didn't find anything... that's because there isn't. I agree with the first poster!

And even though winamp3 isn't perfect at the moment. I'm sure it will grow increasingly powerful with every version. So instead of bitchin... Enjoy.. it'll get better!

It's nice to hear that WA3 has some support from it's fans! Although I'm not use to it yet, using or skinning, it rocks! I still love WA2, and am so glad that they have outdone themselves.

I would feel terrible. Nullsoft is great. They know that. We know that.
But after a near perfect piece of software like Winamp 2, Winamp 3 comes out, and at first it doesn't appear up to par with Winamp 2, I would kind of understand why people would be unhappy, the users and the developers.

that is what i've been saying. my posts may sound like bitching, but all i'm saying is that i'll be waiting until winamp3 kicks as much ass as winamp 2 did over winamp 1.

I would feel overwhelmed, and I would want to repay the volunteer tech support guys with something free that I could send to them. For all their work at the misguided new Winamp3 fans. :D

We must all come to the reality of things- Winamp would have never been invented in the USSR- instead you would use the government issue media player, programmed by 10 govt. selected programmers whose only motivation is the point of a gun and the hope of three potatoes instead of the usual 2 for dinner. :p

the day winamp3 cameout, i installed it, later uninstalled winamp2. I got pissed at some of the bugs, some serious, but aslong as it plays music, and still works (For now people, no components and the default skin is best :D) i will continue to use winamp3, and only winamp3. My use is my support.

Ever since the WinampDB component was rolled out, I've been using solely Winamp3. The improved sound quality is just too good to give up.

Ah yes, but the USSR is no more, and currently Russian servers are filled all the crappy warez and cracks you'll never need. :D Free market indeed.

Nullsoft Rules. Although Winamp 3 is cursed with a few problems, its one of the best players.

Winamp3 is the best thing since sliced bread. Nullsoft is the greatest. Bout time something good happened in my life. And Winamp3 is it. Thank (higher power) for Winamp3, and thank (higher power) for Nullsoft.
Right on Bilbo. Someone needs to start the pro-winamp3 trend.
