Comments, suggestion, venting of pure hatred for the skin...its all good. ;)

I like the overall style, only thing I can think of offhand is maybe make the "Lamborghini" text in the main just a TINY bit lighter, I completely missed it the first time I looked at the skin, ditto the text top and bottom of the logo on the eq, and the PL text is a little big for my personal liking. Apart from that, some really nice details, umm, the top blue ellipse in the titlebar looks a bit brighter than the other two to me, but since I looked like 5 times before noticing, don't take me too seriuosly :p

EDIT: Silly me, is that a difference between active and passive windows? (Gives self d'oh of the day award)

i agree with dimichan about the "lamborghini" at the top...
i didnt even notice it until i read dimichans post :D:D:D

Yup, sure is.

The light text was intended to be really faint. I wanted it really faded in.

The whole thing needs a huge motion blur to make it look faster..

Just kiddin, i like it, although the blue background seems a little sparse in areas..

Sleeeeeeeeek. Oh, and nice skin, too ;)

I don't really care for the triangles around the vis area, but that's just my personal preference; somehow they don't seem to fit. Also, I tend to not touch skins that have that digital-style display when the "unlit" part is so close to the "lit" color. In other words, I can't read the numbers very well at all.

I think you did a nice job with the cbuttons; they don't intrude, but they stand out enough to look like they're supposed to be there. I also like your um... (what's it called?) two bars where the song title/kbps/khz/mono/stereo stuff is; nice how it has some substance to it, instead of being solid.

Is there any reason why the bottom left of the eq and the top left of the pl don't line up? The metal-ish part, I mean. I can see the others aren't supposed to, but that part is only about two pixels off.

I really like this skin overall!

Ever gonna do a Countach version? :D

The playlist is symmetrical both vertically and horizontally in terms of the metal plating thing at the corners. i guess the bottom of the eq and top of the playlist just happened to be really similar in size.

Did this download as a Winamp3 .WAL file for anyone else?

The writing may as well not be there, because I can't really see it - especially the decibel 20s

I'd change that bar at the bottom-left that MetallichicA was talking about (along with the mainmenu one to match) I'm not overly fond of the various triangles either, but apart from that, I think the skin is great. Really slick.

Yes. Tho it's possible to just rename it to .wsz and chuck it in the winamp2/skins directory.

/me is curious as to what's causing that, seems to happen after wa3 final is installed.

sHoTTiE 12th August 2002 07:24

yea, i didnt notice some stuff till i read some of the posts. btw, db, downloaded fine for me, tho i had the same problem when wa3 was installed on my comp (till i uninstalled dat is)

StillWater 12th August 2002 07:42

How annoying. You can't seem to disassociate WSZ files from WA3 either. You can disassociate WAL files, but not WSZ. Bloody stupid. I'm sure that's just one of dozens of stupid bugs/oversights. I'm going to uninstall WA3 for now.

Atmo 12th August 2002 07:47

Hmm..might make a mention of it in the wa3 bug report forum if it hasnt already been noted.

It's still possible to download wa2 skins though. Just right click and choose save as, change the extension from .wal to .wsz and put it in winamp2/skins.

Not as easy as just clicking, but it works.

/me is not gonna be looking forward to uninstalling wa3 before every review session..:hang:

Atmo, I bet ya don't wanna.

Nice skin btw, not my fav car, but the style is kewl.

Atmo 12th August 2002 08:03

Noted in wa3 bug reports.

Sorry to drag this thread off topic dawg.

[edit]

Bah...1001 has started accepting wa3 skins and is having probs with their extensions too.

After testing it on my own site it worked just fine...

/me is a fool...:o
