Important question

I'd like to create my first skin but I don't know how: Can anyone please tell me how to put a photo on a skin?? Thanks a lot to everybody replying my question.

It depends. Do you want to make a quick skin that only takes 3 minutes to make, but doesn't look very good? Or do you want to make a better, more customised, skin?

For the quick version, download one of the programs here:
http://www.1001winampskins.com/winam..._allround.html

For the longer, more sophisticated version, read the information here and come back if you have any questions:

Dammit, why does everybody get to the questions before me? It pisses me off!

rosja, I suggest that you make your own skin without using a program, because you get better reviews and wider views if it isn't made by a program. You can get help from us here at forum #5, Winamp2 Skins.

Oh yeah, welcome to Skin Love.

If you choose to go the long way and really make your own skin (you'll be more pleased with the result I'm sure), download Template Amp and Skinner's Atlas

Unzip those, they contain templates of all the bitmap files that go into making the skin, and the readme files contain a lot of good info as well. (It's not as bad as it looks, you make the skeleton and cut/paste into the component parts, so don't be intimidated by the number of separate files)

The people here are great at sharing info and giving tips as you go along, so you don't have to worry about getting totally lost with no help :p

oh, and welcome ^_^

To do that you have to sit at your computer 24 hours a day, constantly pressing F5 to keep the page current...:p

Anyways, good luck with your skin rosja, if you have any probs dont hesitate to ask.
