can't change skin in winamp3
 

well, i am a new user and i would like to change the skin of my WA, however, after downloading the file, the skin doesnt change. the screen blinks, but nothing changes. i have no clue how to fix this problem. please help me!!

Open Winamp, hit "ctrl p" and under skins try selecting a skin from the list.

it doesnt show any of the skins that i downloaded, which makes no sense, because i watched them download.

When you download the skin next time,note the filename, and search for the filename after download(Start-->Search).If it finds that file, copy that skin to C:\Porgram Files\Winamp3\Skins\ assuming this is your Winamp3 folder.Now,the skin SHOULD show up in the preferences menu...

i downloaded a skin,and when i searched for it's name, the computer couldnt find anything. i searched for all winamp3 skin files, and the computer only found the default. that is so weird, because when i click on the download icon, i then watch the file transfer.

Try this,

Next time when downloading a skin rather than clicking on the download link do the following:

+ Right click the link, and select "Save Target As". This will allow you to save the file anywhere you want. Trying saving it to the desktop. After the download is complete (this time the file should be there), double click on it and hopefully Winamp3 will load the skin and also it should copy it to the skins directory.

Failing the above, try save the file directly into the skins folder in the winamp3 directory.

You may also want to try uninstall and re-install winamp
