Skipping + lack of keyboard support + ID3-Editor +, +, +...

I did read the previous messages.
On my PC skipping occurs mostly when double-clicking a song from the playlist. While sometimes it just gently crossfades between two songs, most of the times I can hear something like chunks of sound, the song progress bar goes mad and advances quickly to about 1/4th of the song, which is where WA3 eventually resumes playing the song in a civilised way. It happens whether crossfade is on or off, whether DirectSound is used or not. I'm running XP Pro on a P-III800, 512MB, Ultra-100 HDD, SB Live! 5.1, all the newest drivers and patches, no overclocking.

Then comes the lack of support for the standard (not Winamp-native!) keyboard shortcuts in the ID3-Editor. I cannot jump from one field to another with the TAB key. I have to find the mouse and click the desired field, than CTRL+Shift+End to highlight the text, then start typing. Windows' standard is that if you press TAB, you're moving the caret to the next available text box _AND_ the text in this box is automatically highlighted, so you can start typing right away.

Then comes the ID3-Editor itself, which shows some odd logic. Not mentioning that it appears so slowly, but has a problem with replacing ID3-v1 tags that was not an issue with WA2 - I have to stop playback in order to change an ID3-v1. OK, I could understand this happening with ID3-v2 tags in WA2, but this is sort of a drawback.

The other problem with the ID3-Editor is that most of the times, when I edit the tag and change the currently playing song by double-clicking somewhere on the playlist, I suddenly get the new (double-clicked) songs' ID3 in the editor! That's not what I wanted to edit, though. So I have to find the song I wanted to edit the ID3 in, right-click (wait), find the tiny ID3-Editor position in the context menu (wait), click again (wait, wait) - oh, surprise, it worked this time. I was unable to find a logical excuse for that happening, especially since sometimes (but only sometimes), the ID3-Editor keeps showing the proper ID3 while the song changes.

Finally, I've counted it and it takes three mouse clicks in three different areas to get to mp3 file information (size, CRC, etc). In WA2, a double-click (I've always used the middle key/wheel on the mouse to simulate it, so it is a single click in fact) on the file info in the main window was enough. Are we trained so well by M$ that we can practice more clicking? Thank you, Nullsoft :->.

Okay, and what about the WA2's "J" key? :-> again.

That's all for now (but more will come, I'm sure).
