A ramdisk will only help ease the load from the cpu when something is being dragged off the harddrive, so if you've got a very large file then yes its possible, but as ucd stated most of the time...

I'd like to see a bit more control with AVI rendering - you can't force the aspect ratio like with pictures. It would also be nice to see 'skip n frames on beat' and 'change speed on beat' options....

This would be quite handy for using the line input with visualisations in a club environment, when the sound level varies greatly depending on what's being played and when.
