Different decoders with different floating point and rounding errors. The MP3 format does not specify that a decode must be exactly the same, just within a certain difference.

The llama image is a local one, buried in the skin files somewhere. There are several, find them, replace them. But I don't think you can change the one inside the media library.

As far as I know Winamp only read the standard year tag. If you want to sort by year and have it use this "old" value then you will have to set the Year to this value.

Yes, song ratings and playcounts are exported in the XML and they were retained when I imported them elsewhere. If you had problems in the past, I suggest you check things when you import them...

This is a bit late but, if you didn't change ogg too, oggenc2 will also use keys you explicitly set. It does have "simple aliases" for DATE and TRACKNUMBER (-d and -N) so to set an "alternative" key...
