Encoding/Ripping are mentioned seperatly, and its pretty straight forward as to speed variences based on your system. A lot better then product info elsewhere.

EACs learning curve isn't too bad.

Then again, I did a Stage 1 Gentoo install once.

I'd say EAC for the quality possible, CDex for good features and usability, and WA5 for complete ease of use.

But if you converted from MP3 to OGG, of course it will sound worse, because you lost information going CD -> WAV -> MP3 in the encoding to MP3, then you go from MP3 -> WAV -> OGG and loose more...

I just re-ripped a bunch of albums using EAC for the first time (great program) an I was lucky to get 6x overall. But it was all error corrected, --alt-preset standard...
