Yes, well, it would need to be keeping track in a disk file, wouldn't it. Write the track number to the file when it incremented in the playlist to a new file. Not all that complex.

Never has any problems with sc_trans

I've never had any issues with sc_trans, never bitten by any bugs there. Very easy to use.

I looked at liquid soap. Seems overly complex to me.
