Winamp has done the "666" release version a couple of times before. There was a 1.666 and 2.666. I was hopeful that they would do a 5.666. I'm glad they did and more-so because it's the last version....

Yeah, the beat detection is somewhat cpu intensive. After changing my proc to AthlonXP 2400+ it doesn't go above 26% w/ beat detection. 20ms setting(I like a smooth analyzer)

I see what you mean with the cpu usage. Mine doesn't get quite that high, but it goes from almost nothing to 50% just by turning on beat detection.

I'm still using WA 2.95. I had some problems with my file writer output plugin and WA 5 crashing so I went back to a more stable version.
