Presumably, Winamp also uses RA as a cedec, interfaced by Tara (is this the role of Tara)

I have installed Real Alternative and note that I have the 'media classic player' in the quick start menu, and two new directories

1. media player classic
2. Real alternative + subdirectories.

Playing real files

Hi,

I'd like to be able to play real file formats through Winamp. I have read that the the Real Alternative codecs do not allow online playing of these files.

I'd like to get some free codecs...

Winamp 5 stops

Winamp usually stop when I am loading pages into IE5.

I expect that this is a windows memory problem.

But is there a way to avoid this

winamp keeps stopping

I am using winamp 5. When I play mp3's from a CD
and am using other applications simultaneously,
winamp tends to stop and crash

Can anyone give any advice that might avert this

memory interaction

I note when using winamp 5 that sometimes it just stops. Could this be because I am using other programmes and they interfere in memory. If so, is there a solution, other than closing other programmes
