When I hit the "On" button on the Winamp...
When I hit the "On" button on the Winamp equilizer...the sound through the speakers becomes much louder and when I turn it off the sound greatly reduces through the speakers again...Yea..I know...but...

Well I probably can't help you cause you guys...
Well I probably can't help you cause you guys know more about this than I do but I had a very similar experience with my Windows 95b....I could burn Cd's with Nero Burner but couldn't play anything...
