You can actually change the default page that winamp loads when you are offline by just replacing the HTML page in winamps dir. I think it's something like winampmb.htm

If you just want to play an MP3 or a playlist without opening a program you can use EMBED tags in the HTML to use browser plugins to play it.

I don't know about you guys, but a lot of my DSP (or output) plugins only work with MP3s. When you go to use them with CD tracks or WAV or WMA or whateva the hell you're playing you get no effect...
