streaming from my linux workstation to my linux shoutcast server

i am used to winamp for windows to to stream to my linux server, but now i have gone tottally linux and i can't seem to find out how to stream from a linux workstation... i have tried things like...

there are different type of unix platforms.. one of them if linux, there are different type of linux platforms, the linux shoutcast server runs on most linux platforms

this is the same as windows vs windows 2000, unix is the operating system linux is a form of unix box, what you need to do is find out if you are runnign a l inux server. if so down load the linux...
