invalid resourse

my listeners keep getting this when they try to click my stations link, any ideas?

if i broadcast at 56kbs but

the mp3's are recorded at around 256kbs would it make any difference to my 56kbs stream?
ie, would my listeners still hear the stream at 56kbs?
or will i have to reduce all the streamed mp3's to...

ive just noticed that there are stations on shoutcast capable of streaming to 9000 odd listeners.
how do they do that?
i can only stream , according to a bandwidth calcualtion , to 9 people.

im streaming just mp3's through win amp from my hard drive.
i had no idea there was a mixer involved.how do i access it?

you could be right but most of my clients get this error message so im wondering if its something to do with the settings.
in fact only one person has been able to log on all day.

right ive just asked two people , one came back...

right ive just asked two people , one came back as working but this person has a shoutcast plugin on their machine and the other came back as invalid resource.
any ideas guys?
