I had the same problem a while back it happened...
I had the same problem a while back it happened when I downloaded some suck ass skin for it, but anyway to solve the problem I had to uninstall winamp and delete the directory from my computer cause...

Winamp3 crashes on me
for some strange reason whenever I click on anything else running in the system tray or in the taskbar winamp3 crashes... wtf is goin on, it just recently started to do this and it really pissin me...
