It's either that or uninstall Audioscrobbler... Which could be a worse fix depending on your personal opinion.

If the Audioscrobbler plugin can't send information to the servers for some reason...

Audioscrobbler seems to be the link between all of us having issues. If you remove Audioscrobbler, Winamp will start fine... If not, you need to be in compatability mode.

Running it in Win98/ME compatability mode DOES fix the issue though, whatever it is.

Note that, Windows 2000 Compatability Mode does NOT fix the problem.

SP2 killed WinAmp for me too... Starts up, loads...

SP2 killed WinAmp for me too... Starts up, loads the main player window and then I get the generic Windows crash window.
