I just found the reference to the cd-drive in an outdated configuration for a pretty old plugin that I'm not using but which is still installed.
so the problem is solved and it wasn't even winamps...

I'm using Winamp 2.91, and have a little problem: when winamp is running, it always wants a cd in my cd-drive for no apparent reason. If I remove a cd from the drive and winamp is playing...
