You need to forward BOTH port 8000 AND 8001. Not 3000. Try to add a domain name using dyn-dns.com or no-ip.com - if the domain name works then shoutcast should work.

The hardware is enough. But bandwidth could be an issue - ask the vendor about what kind of pipe they have for you - is it throttled? What are the charges? It might be expensive.

Hi, if you use IceCast you can get listed in their ziph.org directory I believe. But you will not be listed in the shoutcast yp directory.

You can list in other audio directories - search google...
