I had this same problem. The fix was checking each file that errored out for trailing spaces in the MP3 tag for the title, artist, and album name.

Dupe Playlists Created Every Sync
I was able to figure out the "Error: Could not create folder on device" - there were trailing spaces in either the song name, artist name, or album name. This didn't affect syncing when the device...
