New forum system seems like an improvement, but the "Forum Tools/Mark This Forum Read" dropdown doesn't seem to do anything?

Probably not, but not completely sure. Most of these NAS boxes that advertise an "iTunes server" are using some build of mt-daapd, which uses the DAAP protocol that's native to iTunes for streaming....
