I started with a few random photos of mine. There's one of a hard drive platter, a close up shot of a pcb and one of some trees. Each had lots of motion blur applied (in various directions), then i played with layer blend modes. The stars are random dots with a very subtle drop shadow (in white) that's also blurred.
