The blades that travel through our town have a two-piece trailer - one piece that grabs one end (and has an axle) and a second piece that grabs the other end (and has a pair of axles). The two pieces of the trailer don't connect - apparently the blade is strong enough not to need that feature. The blade itself seems to serve as the rigid structure that keeps the rear axles straight and supportive. The segments of the stand (while in transport) look to have a diameter twice as wide and almost twice the height of a regular 53' box trailer. It's just strange and almost unbelievable that that they fit under bridges. It really amazes me when I see them. I hope they help us out in our fight for our hurting country's need for energy independence.
