In the subforums I frequent (RB, GD, BL), the current mods seem to be doing a rather good job, considering the rather enormous mountains of spam that they've been removing. I don't know a whole lot about the subject, but I believe a better anti-spam measure of sign-up changes would be more effective than dubbing me a moderator. Don't get me wrong, I'm honored by the 'nominations', but until a big need arises in combination with other capable members not willing to fill the spot, I'll enjoy just being a regular member and counting whore. It's one of those things where I'd rather not, but I would do it if there was a genuine need.

Besides, there's the possibility that I would end up spending loads of time being OCD and correcting incorrect counts on the counting thread.

If I were to be asked to nominate someone for "modhood", I'd probably pick gaekwad2 for the following reasons:
His posts seem mostly impartial and intellligent,
he has a good amount of seniority,
and his activity seems like it is often enough to do moderator work in a reasonable amount of reaction time.
The only hesitation is that he might have the same aversion to taking out the trash that I do. Almost seems unfair that the mods take all the trash out and we get to post with little or no distraction without duties, which is the whole point of this thread thanking those who make it possible.
