Well, what do you want for free?
Well I would have liked to have a working product continue to work and not have a company come in and break it. It was free... and it worked but someone decided it needed to be "better" so they made it worse and then they took away the working one

Are you pointing SAM directly to the 2.x server or are you relaying from the 1.9 server?
I have 3 encoders / relays in SAM
one for my 1.x local server
one for my 1.x remote server
and one for my 2.x local server

All three have the same encoder settings and same relay settings other than the local servers ports. 1.x runs on port 1111 and 2.x runs on 1114

The 2.x config is configured to run as a SHOUTcast 1 and is as follows:
code:

log = 1
logfile = /var/log/shoutcast/sc_serv.log
screenlog = 1
w3cenable = 1
w3clog = /var/log/shoutcast/sc_w3c.log
;uvoxcihperkey =
portbase = 1114
autodumpsourcetime = 30
password = mybrodcasterpassword
adminpassword = myadminpassword
yp2 = 0
publicserver = default
banfile = /home/shoutcast/sc_serv2/sc_serv.ban
savebanlistonexit = 1
ripfile = /home/shoutcast/sc_serv2/sc_serv.rip
;saveriplistonexist = 1 (This is commented out because it gives an error saying its not a valid
entry even tho i got it right from their doc)
riponly = 0
maxuser = 10
listenertime = 600
autodumpusers = 0
introfile = /home/shoutcast/sc_serv2/intro1.mp3
;backupfile =
;specialfiletmpdir = /tmp/
;maxspecialfilesize = 30000000
allowrelay = 1
allowpublicrelay = 1

My 1.x config looks like this:
code:

MaxUser=10
Password=mybroadcasterspassword
PortBase=1111
LogFile=/var/log/sc_serv.log
RealTime=1
ScreenLog=1
ShowLastSongs=10
TchLog=no
W3CEnable=Yes
W3CLog=/var/log/sc_w3c.log
SrcIP=ANY
DestIP=ANY
Yport=80
NameLookups=0
AutoDumpUsers=0
AutoDumpSourceTime=30
PublicServer=default
AllowRelay=Yes
AllowPublicRelay=Yes
ListenerTimer=28800 (this is set this way because for some reason when its set to 600 it
kicks people every 10 minutes instead of 10 hours)
BanFile=/home/shoutcast/sc_serv.ban
RipFile=/home/shoutcast/sc_serv.rip
IntroFile=/home/shoutcast/intro1.mp3

If you are familiar with SAM the settings for the SHOUTcast Static relay configurations are as follows:
1.x
Host: ows.dontexist.com
Port: 1111
Password: mybroadcastpassword
2.x
Host ows.dontexist.com
Port: 1114
Password: mybroadcasterpassword

Encoder and Streamer configurations are as follows:
Converter tab:
1.x and 2.x
Codec: MP3 (normal)
Quality: Fast Resampling
Format: 128kb/s 44.1 kHz, Stereo

Server Details tab (info is the same on both unless indicated with 1.x or 2.x):
Server IP: ows.dontexist.com
Server Port: (1.x) 1111 - (2.x) 1114
Password: mybroadcasterpassword
Station name (1.x): Orions Radio - Web based player doesnt work with Shoutcast 1-use test server
Station name (2.x): Orions Test Server (shoutcast 2)
Genre: Metal
Website URL: http://ows.donteixst.com
AIM: NA
ICQ: NA
IRC Channel: NA
List on public station listing (checked)
Enable title streaming (checked)
Format:$combine$

I may try $artist$ - $title$ for the format and maybe then I will get the song info to show up in the SHOUTcast player because using $combine$ works with external players but I guess doesn't work with SHOUTcast 2

I think that is all the information that anyone should need to answer my questions... I hope someone can figure out why the 1.x server does not work on the new SHOUTcast player (again I'm assuming its AOL's way of forcing you to use their software which makes me worried as to what they put into it that they need you to use theirs not the old nullsoft program) and why the song information does not show up even on the 2.x server that does actually play on SHOUTcast.

Edit:
Tried $artist$ - $title$ ... still shows in external players fine ....
The SHOUTcast player:
TITLE: Information Not Entered by Broadcaster
ARTIST: Information Not Entered by Broadcaster
