quite a few of the audio manipulation plug-ins have adopted this style of outputting white-noise at a specific time or on every other track to entice people in and get them to pay for the non-trial version. most of them do however make it clear the download is in the installer (when paying attention to what is mentioned in the installer). is just how it goes not it seems.
