Thanks swingdjted. I 2nd your thought of "If your old version still does this w/a good degree of stability, then keep it w/o updating".

The only problem I'm having, which I can probably live with, is that I can't get Winamp to STOP taking over the file types of media files!

I go to Preferences>Setup>File Types & select only a few I want associated w/Winamp & close out Winamp. But whenever Winamp is opened, Preferences>Setup>File Types has EVERYTHING selected.

I've even unchecked 'Register types on Winamp start' & under Preferences>Setup>Agent, no box is checked. Also made sure Winamp Agent is NOT starting when my comfuser starts. Baffled!
