dammit, i always hate this time in nintendo handheld releases.

i'm always fucking tempting to get the new gameboy, knowing full well, there's only one god damn game i'll ever buy for the thing, it's always the same series, pokemon.

yeah yeah, i guess i'm an addict or something, but.... eh, it's one of the rare game series where i can't just accidentally beat it in like 20 minutes and it's honestly one of the best JRPGs period as well.

then again, those AR card things seem pretty cool too assuming it's more than just some cheap trick or 3D animated .gif equivalent, would be awesome to see publishers who aren't nintendo really pick up on the little cards and use them in interesting ways, but.... will they?

as of so far, no one really knows and i can't even find much speculation either.

i should point out that gametrailers pretty much featured the 3DS that has now arrived for them on this week's invisible walls segment and they said it's a pretty solid three to four hours with the 3D stuff on, like 5-8 with it off, honestly.... that's still downright pathetic though i mean let's be honest, IF i buy one of these things, it's not going to be to play games with the 3D off which brings me to another point i haven't found really much about yet which is...

is the 3D functionality backwards compatible with DS, DS-Lite, or even DSi titles at all?
i can't make heads or tails of whether or not it is at this point, it seems like it should be able to 3Dify games that weren't built for it to some lesser extent that might be almost negligible, but... who knows i'm just speculating on how the 3D works whether developers have to "develop 3D" or if it can accent non-3D games with even minimal 3D touches at all.

if anyone happens to pick one up feel free to type us a book on the 3DS in general here, the battery life thing is going to a HUGE hurdle for me personally though.
oh and, it's obvious and almost obligatory that the launch games are probably some of the worst shovelware excuses for games you'll ever see outside of facebook so that doesn't really need mentioning.

I hate everyone, so you don't have to.
