What do you guys think? I watched Survivor last night and I think I would have preferred dental work. I think Family Guy, the Simpsons et all animated weirdness has really been losing it lately. That last Family Guy Star Wars sucked big time. At least Seth MacFarlane made that clear in the opening credits. He promised to make it up to us.

I feel like I am on sophomoric overload. Since I haven't been a sophomore for more than 30 years, TV doesn't really cut it lately.

It's sort of like a decade of M*A*S*H. I was long ago Alan Alda'ed to death.

One Family Guy was fun and unique. One South Park was a hell of a lot of fun. One Simpsons could be cool at times. Futurama was fun.

Now a half dozen clones try to reach for your attention. The premise is to become even more sophomoric and potty mouthed. I think that train left the tracks. My being able to get a laugh before I change the channel is rapidly diminishing.

My dad used to say "Just because someone takes a shit, doesn't mean you have to look at it" TV is making me feel that way lately.

I read this article lately:

http://www.reuters.com/article/2010/...6280SZ20100309

It talks about women being portrayed as "catty, two-faced and insane" This seems to be prevalent in current TV shows, not as this author pointed out... limited to the WB network.

We could compare the portrayal of men as impotent, unreliable and self indulgent. This is funny?

Three flavors of CSI give us bitchy women and effeminate men. Castle started out ok, but how much Stana Katic with a cob in her ass can a guy take? Playing against Nathan Fillion, who becomes more gay with every episode.
