So, iomegajaz caved in and bought me and the Rugrat a 3DS. Only because it was on sale ($199AU) and we got a nice income tax return

AND Rugrat's DS Lite is starting to show a lot of wear & tear.

We only have Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, and I must say, it's been fun to play. Nintendo did clean up the graphics (fishing in Hylia Lake is pretty cool), but at the same time, they were smart to not clean up too much. The blocky animated characters give it a nice nostalgia kick. (and yes, the Fairies still look like drag queens)

The Rugrat plays in 3D a little, she gives it two thumbs up. She's not allowed to play in 3D all the time as it will run down the battery life pretty quickly. I still find it cool playing in 2D, it's still fun and frustrating (stuck in Jabu's belly trying to rescue that bitch of a princess).

I haven't messed too much with the extras on the 3DS, found the camera on it to be nothing special. Rugrat likes to play with the face game and just generally messing around with it.

All in all, I'm glad that we didn't go for the DS XL, instead waiting for the 3D to lower in price.
