Speeding is a choice, but it usually only involves deaths when it's very excessive and/or combined with a lot of other aggressive driving bullshit. If you say half of the fatal accidents are not from alcohol, that would imply that half are. The other half gets divided by failure to yield, driver distraction (e.g. texting), speeding, aggressive driving, fatigue, daydreaming, or falling asleep behind the wheel, animal strike, weather conditions, vehicle failure (Firestone blowout, fire, hood flying up, rod breaking, etc.), improper restraint, bad lane change, wrong way, seizures, etc.
