Gratitude for Winamp

To put some perspective on this thread...
I used to be PC. Got sick of shit not working, of constant bugs and security issues. That was 6 years ago. Lest you think I just didn't know what the hell I was doing, I was the guy in your office everyone came to with issues that needed fixing when IT couldn't be found.
Switched to what used to work: Apple.
As disgruntled as I am, Apple does make some great hardware and software that do work well together, and in all this time, I've not had one hardware or software issue.
That is, until Lion and the eternally messed up iCloud. Good thing they didn't name it iSky. It's definitely a friggin cloud.
The last year or so using my bloated and freedom-sucking Apple devices, namely iMac and iPhone, it has become abundantly apparent that connectivity, networking in the social sense, ease of use, freedom of choice, have become simply catch words with Apple.
The cloud is a disgraceful mess. iPhoto wants to rename my photos with file extensions that would render the photos only viewable on an Apple product, I save a file and it used to ask me if I wanted it in the cloud or on my hard drive; now you have to make bloody sure because not only does it not ask you. It doesn't tell you where it is.
iTunes is a bit#%.
You can't delete duplicate files. Simple tasks are missing or hard to uncover.
I searched HI and LOW for a media player that would work. They were crap.
I was a big fan of Winamp when I was PC. I was sure Winamp wasn't' OS X friendly.
THANK GOD I WAS WRONG.
I'm still pissed with Apple and will, once this machine pisses me off a bit more, toss it over the balcony and once again go to PC.
It's good to know excellent software application outfits like Winamp will be coming with me, regardless of the pot-holed road of personal computing products this world has become. Maybe I'd even go back to pen, paper and a phone, but then I'd need a Personal Portable Winamp Player.
Keep up the great work you bunch at the Llama. You have restored some peace and sanity for me!
