or it's being purposefully blocked by the proxy... though is strange it will still load the status page.
trying to test this on a work network with a known proxy is more than likely the main reason for it not behaving as expected and i'd strongly suggest trying it on your own setup off the work network than trying to do things in a VM on a work PC etc.
