Question It's in my head but I don't know the name of it!!

There's a lovely instrumental tune on a compilation cd my ex made for my mum that we can't locate. I didn't grab the right cd while I was at her house across the country and she's basically a ludite; no computer, cell or cable so using Shazam or other music recognition software is out of the question. And the cd has no label so there's no clue there. The ex has been trying to help me but to no avail.

I can only describe the song and hope many musical minds might offer suggestions and listening links to help me find it. And thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to do just that.

It was 'recorded' to cd sometime in the late 90s to early naughts, before 2006 because that's when we moved across the country and the wheels fell off the bus, so to speak. I'm no musician so I can only describe teh song based on what I think it would be like to play it on a piano.
The tune is unusually long, close to 5 minutes.
It starts with and features a simple up-keyboard piano trill of about 5 notes starting with middle C, I think. Followed by three pair of two notes in descending order with a space in between, back to middle C.
It has a quick base tempo in the background made with short percussion hits on a synth that resembles a piece of wood or bamboo being struck, kind of hollow but with no echo. Think the thuddy electronic dance beat you would hear in a club.
Later some of that 'squirrely' electronic sounds spiral in to replace the piano trill but it always goes back to the constant dance beat. Un da, un da, un da, un da.
Any ideas??
