development of plot and characters is just as important in a story as the things that happen along the way. you could astonish with the most wondrous of accounts and it would never be as interesting if there was no one to relate to in it.
i liked after earth, it wasnt nearly as bad as its reputation. especially when set against the lowly inexcusable awfulness of the happening and the last airbender.
