We could all wish we would have to make more money so that we'd have to pay. I like paying. Luckily men seem to die quick. Both countries have used quantitative easing to unburden some of the debt. Both countries had the banks buy commodities futures (specifically food) instead of investing in things that create jobs. Some places in the world have a drought and commodities seemed a better bet than risking investment in working people.
