A good painter is worth his weight in gold. I wish someone told me that before I went to school and into debt for software engineering. But it worked out, I did some desk work at IBM for a couple years before burning out. I can't paint though because of a natural fear of heights. And the fumes can be rough. One carpenter friend of mine can't stand any fumes so he calls himself an olfascist.
And now for something totally different.
If you need a different perspective try talking to someone for their perspective like a counselor. It helps if you pay them because free advice is not the same thing as paid advice. You could also try an astrologer. Like computer programming, the layman does not know what a real astrologer does. Even if what an astrologer says is total crap, it is still an outside perspective to chew on, if only to argue against it.
I am such a professional astrologer, and I take a very serious, technical and practical approach to my work. I know I could get flamed to death for mentioning this, but really don't bother arguing with me about it. I have heard it all before and reactionary attacks will be ignored. I lack a public face right now, I need to get a website up. I know I am not supposed to advertise or solicit so I will stop there and say if you are interested in any services I may or may not provide, PM me. But did mean in general too, there are a lot of good professional astrologers out there. I could recommend some. Asking for ideas on career and success is standard procedure. I wish I talked to one when I was graduating high school or college. It would have explained a lot.
