This Christmas season is predicted to be the most dire since 2008. Retailers, even moving Black Friday back to Thanksgiving morning, are expecting dismal sales gains and low profits. Seasonal hiring is almost non-existent. This season accounts for 40% of the retail sales in a year. We could bitch about a lot of ads and making people work all day Thanksgiving, but the stuff has to get sold.
Everybody is running around bitching about this "greed". I guess if "greed" means keeping company's doors open and not firing your employees for Christmas, it's greed.
It should be a buyers Christmas. Things are gonna be cheap.
