I don't have the knowledge and experience of movies to say what are the best filmed and acted blah blah so i'll just say my favroute five in order of 1=best:
1: Donnie Darko
2: The Matrix
3: Quadrophenia
4: The italian Job
5: Escape From Alcatraz
