Wow, can't believe that this is over.... Thanks to dev team for the best player in existence!

Special thanks to Pawel (Polish translator) for the great translation and opportunity to help improve that at some point
        Sorry for my bad English

Of course, like the previous article ("How Winamp undid itself...."), but hey, at least is good to know someone with more contacts than a "simple user" is trying to reach devs and CEOs and so to throw some light out of it. Cause if it´s for AOL / Nullsoft, 3 lines and a couple of thank you´s should please all of us to explain why 15+ years of great work goes to silence.. (I know, of those 15 years you can take 6 years at most of proper evolution but still..)

Ha! Yep.. can´t blame just them, search "Winamp" in Google and articles are growing like.. weeds (sorry I don´t have an english equivalent for mine..).

The good thing about it is that it´s making so much noise.. (not just AT, also facebook, twitter, etc)... let´s see how it turns.. (have kinda of a "good" feeling very deep.. somewhere, like the one I´ve had this morning )

The first and last player I'll ever use.
                I like "silly devs"!

But why isn't there a final "Pro" Build?

I still have it and I always downloaded from the appropriate Link on the download page.
It misses the German http://download.nullsoft.com/winamp/..._pro_de-de.exe (instead, it links to the "full" bundle with things I don't want...)

Could you please make a final "Pro" Build without bundled eMusic stuff and so on?

I don't want to lose Pro with that "final" build...

                      Thanks!

PS: Please tell me that "[Winamp creator] Justin [Frankel], who was totally not interested" is one of those 2..

This is really sad to hear, Winamp has probably been my most used program over the last 10 years, hope you guys reconsider.

With the latest build we can no longer view file info when running a direct show video, that's very useful to know what codecs are loaded. Is there a setting in preferences to restore that?

Also, right clicking brings up a dark menu, can that be changed to the usual gray color?

If I can't fix these issues I'm back to an older version and that's unfortunate since you're giving up on any future development.

it wasn't intentionally changed / broken and might depend on the file format maybe.

preferences -> media library -> appearance, un-check the option to skin the menus.
