I can't understand the discussion about this BETA release. It was clear stated in the email. Why it would make sense to use a BETA for a "live-project" and why it should be a problem to use the last stable version, when the BETA will not work? Only for the YP-listing and to earn money over an totaly overrated monetization "feature"?

I already move all my links from places to IceCast this weekend and delete my shoutcast account and ever thing that comes with it, Radionomy support sucks am not going pay them and a hosting company and other fees to run my stream..i was a shoutcast user for over 10 years and nothing make sense now but a lot greedy people looking to make money off us and put hosting companies out of business, wait and see IceCast is going be more in the spot light when all this become final.

We are radio hosting provider and we have a bit over 400 SHOUTcast 2 server instances. If it still looks like this, we will migrate all our customers to IceCast.

I recently updated to 2.6 on Windows 2008 R2.

Wasted half a day tryna get streambackupurl to work from the instructions, only to find out later that it’s for premium users only. This should of been made clear in the help pages included in the setup.

Also, streambackupfile no longer repeats. And, I had issues with the streamintrofile not passing over to the stream after being played.

Have gone back to 2.5.5 after wasting 3 days of my time. I think I’m gonna look into a ‘cold’ alternative, as I believe they have more to offer.

Radionomy will have to do something drastically different, and fast, if I’m to stick around telling my friends how good shoutcast is.

I have updated DNAS for 2.6.0 and now i have this message : Stream is currently up but is waiting on a Directory response

The YP server which is compatible to DNAS 2.6.0 is not ready yet as far as I know. So station listing won't work with the new DNAS at the moment.
