Yes, getting rid of MFC would be exactly my own advice as well - mind you, we first used .net for the config dialog just to have a dialog at all, but that was ugly, so we switched to MFC, which is only a little less ugly but works better. It's by no means perfect. Keeping the dialog separate from the rest of the plugin would still be a good idea (so that it can be reused in xmp-openmpt), but generally it would be nice if it was pure Win32, of course.
