I think using the unified tag editor would be the better choice, he already showed us in the past with his SNESAmp Wrapper, that it's possible to use it with more 'special' input plug-ins.

I'm glad to hear that in_mod will be updated, I always thought that it will be removed, so keep on your good work. Maybe this will auto fix some of the bugs in bug tracker and maybe I can try to add my mod files to the library again (which always resulted in crashes with the current in_mod based on MikMod)
