Be it four years or forty, the topic is rather open ended so if you feel you can contribute something today, next month or next year that is meaningful and constructive then why not do so? Its often emphasized that one should first do a search before opening a new thread yet if that thread is not somewhat recent then the topic is often shunned and ridiculed for its age which I don't feel is very constructive.
