i'm a maths student, and i have only once needed something more than windows calculator... and that was because there's no binomial coefficient button, and i was too lazy to compute it myself.

in most courses you're not allowed a calculator in exams which have a full keyboard (QWERTY or otherwise)... graph calculators with letters on the symbols are fine. the one you linked to has a full keyboard, so won't be allowed.

to be fair, the only thing i ever found a graphics calculator useful for is playing snake.
