I have coneccion shared between several PCs. Understand that I need to correctly form the device of the entrance to send to the PortBase (defect 8000) to the appropriate machine in my LAN.
What do you use to share the connection?

                    Software? Hardware?

                    Do you have a firewall?

I have the same problem ( Cannot see your station/computer ) so I hope this thread is the right place to ask for help.

I have a little lan whit a linux box that acts as router/firewall:

                        adsl
                        |
                        |
                        linux
                        |
                        |----pc1 ( 8100 )
                        |
                        |----pc2 ( 8200 )

I had forwarded (using iptables) port 8100:8101 and 8200:8200 to pc1 and pc2 and there shoutcast works fine.

Today I've found a linux version and so I'd like to use only one shoutcast installed on the linux box.
I've opened the ports 8010:8011 , clients connect to shoutcast but it give me the error " yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: X.Y.Z.W:8010)...) and it's my real public ip

                        Can anyone help me?
                        Thanks

                        korth

                        PS: sorry for my english

                          Two (or less) easy steps:
                          1. If you have a firewall, open the necessary port(s).
                          2. If you have a router, configure it to forward the necessary port(s) to the DNAS machine.

Check out the Sticky post titled:

Scroll down a bit and look for the section titled:

Are the necessary ports open in your firewall and are they being forwarded to the DNAS machine?

ok, sorry, that's my fault : I wrote the firewall's rules in the wrong order
                            ..now it works.

I went to that radiotoolbox.com and it said that port 8000 is closed, while i have configured my router and my computer 100x over... could it just be that it doesn't like port 8000 or does my computer not like ME?

check my router settings here... http://westentg.**********
