DrO, if you are going to post in this thread, I would appreciate it if you would address the topic of the thread, and not drag it off topic. personally, I have no problem with winamp's release conventions, I really appreciate having an official and a beta release, and its ok with me if the official release happens to need multiple releases in a short time; but I can understand why someone else might be frustrated by that. I just don't think winamp has a better alternative to that, than what its doing.
perhaps you can split your post and this one off into their own thread and then link it to back here?
and I think academically speaking, you'd find the problems presented by the last attachment interesting, b/c there is no obvious answer to the observed behavior.
