Or in noob talk, lossless audio compression is just like compressing WAV songs with ZIP. No matter how many times you recompress it, it's still the very same exact song.
Just that these special lossless codecs have way better compression ratio than ZIP...
So if you're and audiophile you'll most probably use FLAC/APE or exact 1:1 CD images that are mounted using Daemon Tools and then played in WinAMP as any other physical Audio CD.
