A mac is not going to deal with an asx file well as that is made more for wmp.

About the only program that comes to mind that has a shot at reading an asx file would be videolan (I believe it's got limited asx support). Aside from that, there is parallels or vmware fusion.

However, I believe the best way to crack this nut would be for you to use a .pls formatted link secifically for mac people. Itunes will open a .pls file without a hitch. You would host this pls file in the same manner in which you are currently hosing your asx file.
